FAQ:

Is this just for beginners?

It was made with new players in mind, but plenty of experienced players keep it in their tile case too. A good quick reference earns its place at every level.

Does it replace the NMJL card?

Not at all. The Field Guide teaches you how to read and use your card. You still need your current year card from the National Mah Jongg League to play. You can find it at nationalmahjonggleague.org.

Can I buy it without taking a class?

Yes. The Field Guide is for anyone who loves Mah Jongg or wants to learn it.

What about lessons?

We teach in your home, and we bring everything. Mahjong 101 starts at $65 per person for groups of four to six, with a group rate of $55 per person for seven or more. Full details are on our Lessons page.
